BIOGRAPHY

Personalized. Comprehensive. Fun.

Bryan Galvez started playing the piano around the age of five.  He was always fascinated with all the genres of music out there.  But, it wasn't until he heard classical piano music played in front of him that he really got enthusiastic about it.  He began his serious studies with Marjorie Sheridan-Short and Teresa V. Short. Through them, he participated in many piano clinics and recitals.  The most memorable one being his high school senior recital in 1993.  After studying the great masters like Bach, Mozart and Beethoven, as well as Chopin and Liszt, he decided to take his musical studies to the next level.  He attended Chapman University to study piano with Dr. Joseph Mathews.  The highlight of his college years was participating in the Los Angeles Liszt Competition in the fall of 1996.  After his 'grand finale' senior recital, he received his undergraduate degree as a piano performance major in the spring of 1998.  Mr. Galvez has been teaching piano for over twenty years and he would like to share his passion for music with you.
